27 December 2019 – Trade Statistics for November 2019
Pretoria, 27 December 2019 – The South African Revenue Service (SARS) today releases trade statistics for November 2019 recording a trade surplus of R6.10 billion. These statistics include trade data with Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho and Namibia (BELN). The year-to-date (01 January to 30 November 2019) trade surplus R10.54 billion is an improvement from the R1.24 billion deficit for the comparable period in 2018. Exports decreased by 0.9% year-on-year whilst imports for the same period showed a decrease of 3.8%.
