Job description
ThoroughTec Simulation is seeking a talented artist with a flair for precision and interest in contributing to creating high fidelity simulators to join their 3D art department.
They will play an integral role in modelling various vehicle classes and real world environments. We require an individual that is precise, meticulous, exhibits a keen eye for detail and can work with minimal supervision.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Modelling and texturing highly accurate vehicles and environments.
- Working with software developers to implement functional components.
- Meeting deadlines as set out by Lead Artist/Project Lead/Art Manager.
- 2D artwork implementations

Requirements
Candidates must exhibit or be able to demonstrate:
- A 3D/Graphic Design qualification from a reputable institution or relevant tertiary qualification.
- Talented 3D skills with a relevant 3D portfolio.
- 3DS MAX experience (essential)
- Extensive Photoshop experience (essential)
- 2D artwork skills for various implementations
- Illustrator knowledge advantageous.
- Substance Painter/PBR knowledge advantageous.
- Unity knowledge advantageous
- Basic understanding of XML/HTML
- Creative mind, innovative ideas, proactivity and the ability to think and learn fast.
- The ability to work in a close team environment as well as the capability to work independently, whilst taking responsibility as an individual.
- A positive and engaging attitude in dealing with people.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail.
