An independent online advertising agency based in Johannesburg requires a skilled Front End Developer with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript, knowledge of WordPress template hierarchies and building themes from scratch and you must be comfortable with Git repository management. Knowledge of implementation and consumption of RESTful services and Clear understanding and ability to read the documentation of third-party APIs.
Duties:

• We work with cutting edge technology and a variety of applications from websites and digital activations to hardware interfaces and mobile apps. In this position, you would be building beautifully designed front-ends for websites and other applications using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
• You will also be involved with developing UX and design for all of the company’s products.
• Being able to produce a full project from start to finish is a must with support from the rest of the team.

Requirements:

• Development of websites with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
• Assist with the development of HTML5 applications for digital activations.
• Suggest and implement the latest tools and frameworks in order to keep up with the rapid evolution of digital toolsets.
• Maintaining and refactoring codebases according to client requests.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript. Strong knowledge of jQuery.
• Knowledge of WordPress template hierarchies and building themes from scratch.
• Comfortable with Git repository management.
• Knowledge of implementation and consumption of RESTful services.
• Clear understanding and ability to read the documentation of third-party APIs (Facebook, Twitter, Google, etc.)
• Knowledge and understanding of PHP/MySQL is a bonus.
