eCommerce concern based in Johannesburg is looking for a junior tointermediate business analyst who will be required to partner with our business teams to completely understand their requirements and how each team contributes to the company successfully achieving its goals. Theanalyst will define, design, document, deliver and support all the company’s business processes, systems and applications. The successful candidate will be passionate about innovation and take end-to-end responsibility for bringing new ideas and opportunities to life.
Duties:

• Partner with business teams and understand the objectives, goals and potential weaknesses of each business unit and how it contributes to the company’s overall goals and objectives
• Build solid relationships and be the medium through which change and innovation is delivered
• Partner with the software development manager to produce software solutions that are delivered on time and meets business requirements
• Be responsible for producing requirements, assessing possible solutions and their impact and weighing up costs vs benefits
• Apply analytical thinking to optimise business processes and introduce technology where possible
• Understand the current as is and to be processes
• Conduct workshops, write business cases, provide high level impact, articulate the benefits to the business
• Identify and manage stakeholders throughout the process
• Conduct and assist the business with UAT
• Manage the impact of changes
• Work with hosted service providers, vendors and our internal analysis and development teams to deliver projects, enhancements and production support
• Work with business teams to create and maintain roadmaps for products
• Ensure all products are built to an appropriate level of quality
• Partake as a stakeholder in agile best practices for solution delivery (daily stand-ups, regular showcases, sprint planning and retrospectives) and track work with online tools

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in information systems, informatics or any other similar IT related degree
• Formal business analysis qualification (BABOK, etc)
• Prince 2 / Agile approach certification
• Minimum three years’ working as a business analyst for software related product delivery within in an agile environment
• Experience in salesforce.com analysis
• Analytical and ‘out of the box’ thinking
• Adaptability – ability to be effective when engaging at all levels
• Active listening skills
• Interviewing / requirements elicitation through engaging conversation
• Providing constructive challenges to senior management
• Experience as an analyst
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Comfortable in a dynamic, fast moving environment with changing requirements
• Deliver tasks on time and keep to commitments
• Ability to inspire confidence
