Disaster-related death toll rises to 10 across the province. Provincial disaster declaration expected. 

 – One firefighter passed away due to fire-related burn wounds. Disaster-related death toll rises to 10 across the province (5 fire related, 5 storm related).

  – Second firefighter injured in the line of duty.

  – 80% of fires contained.

  – 3 000 – 4 000 people remain displaced.

  – No missing people reported at this stage, according to Southern Cape police.

  – Four people for looting following the fires.

  – Several evacuated areas have been declared safe.
