Nestled in the hills overlooking the vibrant city of Bloemfontein, lies the South Campus of the University of the Free State (UFS). A facility for up to 4 000 in-situ students (modern lecture rooms, an auditorium, a library, and superlative administration and support), together with facilities and leading-edge technology that supports distant learning more than 6 000 learners.
Combined, this is not only the perfect home to new in-situ students who have been less fortunate in receiving former levels of education essential to entering the Higher Education system, it is also a sophisticated, technically advanced hub (online and broadcasting mediums) for those beset with other hurdles in life – geographical difficulties, financial constraints, a need to simultaneously work and complete a degree and similar. Requirements

In completing your four-year education and IT training, you achieved convincingly above the rest. You subsequently went on and attained at least six years of highly related experience, reflecting success after success, particularly in teaching strategic development, integration and deployment of broad-spectrum digital learning projects. You consider yourself a whiz when it comes to managing complex e-portfolios and juggling multiple priorities and resources within a fast-paced, changing environment that comprise multiple stakeholders. Leadership and managing diverse teams is innately you. When it comes to PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, and experience of internet broadcast and digital media, you’re well ahead of the pack and you have excellent knowledge of eLearning development tools (i.e. Brainshark, Captivate, Camtasia, Flash), standards (i.e. SCORM) and Learning Management Systems (i.e. Blackboard). Improving Instructional design methodology and adult learning theory is something you thrive on. You feed on both team orientated and independent work – especially under pressure. Preparing and managing substantial budgets, planning, performance management, client centricity and cultural diversity is all part of your daily vocabulary.
