Environment:
A provider of the latest advancements in digital health and wellness solutions invites a Python software engineer to join its team.

Duties:

• Develop a software ecosystem of tools and reusable components to support the storage, processing and analysis of data locally and on the cloud.
• Work closely with data science teams to build scalable and cost-efficient algorithms to process vast amounts of data and deliver business value.
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Enhance continuous integration and testing processes.

Requirements:

Minimum:

• Honours degree in computer science, data science, engineering or related from a reputable university.
• Five+ years’ professional experience using a mainstream object-oriented or functional language.
• Good communication skills required.
• Willingness and ability to learn, solve problems quickly and automate processes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred:

• Experience developing in Python.
• Experience using Amazon Web Services.
• Knowledge of reactive systems and working with data streams.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems.
• Proficient in Git.
• Should know the difference between good, average and just plain bad coffee.
