JOHANNESBURG – Police emergency call centre workers will be taking to the streets on Wednesday to demand better wages.
The 10111 workers say they have exhausted all avenues.
They say they’ve been left with no choice but to shut down all call centres.
Last month, the workers marched to the office of the police minister over the issue.
The workers say they want to be paid the same as workers at other government call centres.
Meanwhile, police say contingency plans are in place to ensure there are no disruptions to the service.
