eNCA | Top Eskom executive suspended
JOHANNESBURG – Eskom chief financial officer Anoj Singh has been placed on special leave on Thursday pending the outcome of a forensic investigation.
Reports suggest the move was sparked by the Development Bank of Southern Africa’s alleged threat to recall its R15-billion loan to the power utility.

The apparent threat by DBSA would have triggered similar recalls from Eskom’s other lenders.
The suspension came at the behest of both the finance and public enterprises ministers.
Eskom has confirmed irregular expenditure of over R3-billion.
Calib Cassim has been appointed as interim Chief Financial Officer.
