We are looking for an experienced DevOps engineer to join our expanding IT and development team.

We are working on projects that use cutting-edge technology, as a company, we are very focused on delivering market changing online services. You will be one of the experts contributing to those goals with your professional knowledge, expertise and work ethic.

You will be working in a fast paced organisation using Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver excellent solutions for our demanding customer service and operations requirements

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the development team to bring new software releases to production more effectively
• Develop and deploy OSS tools for use within the Cloud Operations group
• Develop, deploy and manage highly-scalable and highly-available platforms, monitoring and maintaining service performance and availability metrics
• Automate everything from deployment to monitoring and management to incident response
• Take ownership of our configuration management platforms
• Collaborate with developers to bring new features and services into production
• Assist identifying and mitigating security threats to comply with strict security compliance
• Develop and improve operational practices and procedures
• Produce high-level design documentation where required
• Ensure close collaboration between development and operations, enabling smoother operation between teams
• Continuous optimization and improvement to existing systems and infrastructure

• Configuration management tools – Chef / Puppet
• Monitoring systems – Cacti, Nagios, Splunk, Spiceworks, Zenoss, FusionReator
• Continuous integration tools – Jenkis, NAnt, MSBuild, Maven
• Strong Linux administration: Ubuntu / Debian, RedHat / CentOS
• Advanced Windows administration: Windows Server – IIS – ActiveDirectory – WMI – Powershell – Clustering
• Web technologies: Apache / Ngnix – Squid – HAProxy – Mod_security – WebDAV – AJP Proxy – cgi scripting
• Administration, monitoring and optimisation of JBoss / Tomcat / Jrun4 / Glassfish- Java application servers
• Lateral thinking, reverse engineering, good at problem solving
• Experience securing servers covering file integrity / intrusion detection / application firewalls / auditing
• Experience with issue tracking – JIRA / Bugzilla / CVStrac
• Version control systems – Git / SVN / SourceControl / CVS
• Obsession for good documentation: using wiki to log changes, write procedures and instructions
• Strong knowledge of at least one of Python, Perl, PHP or shell scripting
