As a full stack PHP developer, you will be operating in accordance with company established Agile Scrum SDLC methodologies, for the design, production, testing, debugging, and maintenance of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript source code written to power a complex, distributed, high-performance, resilient, redundant, and secure cloud-based web applications.

Requirements:

• BSc degree/degree in computer science or diploma in IT
• Four to five years’ experience in PHP full stack development (PHP/HTML/CSS/JavaScript; front-end/back-end)
• All qualifying experience using a modern PHP development framework (Symfony)
• All qualifying experience in a DevOps team setting using a Scrum Agile methodology
• All qualifying experience in a test-driven/behaviour-driven development environment (preferably w/ a common PHP unit testing framework (e.g. PHPUnit, Behat)
• Understanding of fundamental cloud computing architectural concepts, especially with regard to reliability and scalability (e.g. multi-regional/multi-AZ, elasticity, auto-scaling)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Positive, upbeat and savvy communicator

Responsibilities:

• Development and maintenance of websites and solutions based on PHP
• Working alongside existing developers who are responsible for all aspects of the on-going software development process throughout the whole project lifecycle
• Working with business analysts and project managers to clarify specifications/requirements
• Designing database schema and data architectures.
• Working with game engineers to create and test web service APIs
• Revise implementations based on user and stakeholder feedback
• Test and modify HTML and CSS for browser and standards compliance
