Job description
We currently looking for a traffic coordinator to join our team. You will be responsible for the daily running of the studio and manage all jobs going through from beginning to end.
You will work closely with many stakeholders including the operations director, client service team, designers, and developers to ensure smooth and successful delivery of projects.
It is essential that you understand internet technologies, terminologies, and the workflow of a typical advertising lifecycle. You will need to have experience working in an agency environment and have a good working understanding of project planning, project management, client expectation management, risk management, and pressure situation management.
What we expect of you
- A degree or similar qualifications
- Essential: Three years’ experience as a traffic co-ordinator within an agency environment
- Responsible for the delivery/trafficking of every project that comes through the business
- Co-ordinate and manage the internal daily studio traffic process
- Conduct daily traffic meetings
- Keep a close eye on all project deadlines to ensure that projects are delivered on time
- Keep a close eye on all project resourcing to ensure that projects are delivered on deadline
- Plan resourcing, track timelines and provide feedback to the client service team on projects progress
- Experience using project management tools
- Be able to adapt to the agency’s processes, systems and procedures
- A good knowledge of the terminology and technical aspects related to web and mobile development
- Deadlines are gospel
Example of the daily process
- Plan the next day’s traffic the afternoon before and ensure all AEs have briefed in enough work for all resources for the day
- Check in with all designers in the morning to ensure they’re on track with their jobs
- Note any and all queries from studio and AEs to address in daily traffic meeting
- Daily traffic meeting at 9am to address traffic flow for the day and any possible priorities and adjustments that need attention
- Briefs need to be examined and addressed at least 20 minutes after being uploaded onto the agency job tracking system
- If briefs need to be amended or deadlines adjusted, AEs are consulted within an hour of the brief being uploaded
- Chasing jobs according to deadline and priority on the job tracking system – communicating with and delivering all jobs to the AE
- Ensuring that studio is cognisant and communicative about their delivery of the job
- If studio has to extend the deadline for any reason, this needs to be communicated to the AE before the job commencement not close to the deadline
- Doing a catch-up with studio every afternoon before everyone leaves for the day
- Preparing traffic for the next day
Requirements
- Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills (essential)
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
- A complete understanding of the digital process
- Excellent attention to detail
- Military-like organisational and time management skills
- Multitasking skills and the ability to very comfortably juggle multiple projects
- Ability to recommend and define processes to continuously improve the business
- Ability to understand a client’s business and project requirements
- A team player with good interpersonal skills to deal with various personalities
