Emotion studios, a division of Educor Holdings, the largest private education group in South Africa requires the services of a skilled front-end web-developer to join our expanding digital team. Moving into the online space, we are constantly working on bringing the latest and greatest digital solutions to the distance, part-time and face-to-face learners. A successful candidate will be tasked with designing and developing websites on the WordPress CMS platform with, at times, custom JS and PHP integrations. Other tasks include developing HTML mailers, custom forms, etc.

Requirements

• Minimum three to five years of experience in web development.
• Excellent HTML, CSS and WordPress Knowledge.
• Intermediate JavaScript, jQuery and PHP experience.
• Great understanding of responsive layouts and aesthetics.
• Familiar with editing software such as Sketch, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop.
• Great SEO principles – understanding and implementation.
• Experience in browser testing and debugging.

Better your chances:

• Experience with Microsoft Azure
• If you are a ‘unicorn’ (have excellent graphic design and web development skills)
• Experience in developing custom themes and plugins for WordPress
