A PR agency in Port Elizabeth is looking for a motivated reporter/copywriter.

The candidate should have a passion for reporting, writing and digital publishing and, ideally, have around three years’ experience in PR, journalism or advertising.

The position entails news gathering and reporting for in-house online publications as well as copywriting and sub-editing for clients.

The successful candidate should have an excellent command of the English language, a creative streak, be able to take charge when needed and work to deadlines. An interest in sport would be beneficial.

The position, which is available immediately, requires working on weekends and own transport is essential.

Tasks include:

• PR writing, reporting and sub-editing
• Creating content for and managing websites, digital news publications and social media platforms
• Developing and implementing PR plans, content strategies and proposals
• News editor and webmaster duties
• Creative and SEO writing for new client websites and other marketing material
• Photography and basic video work for social media/PR purposes
• Ad hoc projects
