JOHANNESBURG – The suspended Head of Gauteng Mental Health, Dr Makgabo Manamela, says the termination of the Life Esidimeni contract was a cost-cutting measure.
One hundred and forty-three mentally disabled patients died after they were moved from the facility to NGOs.
