An excellent opportunity exists for a half-day Financial Business Analyst for World renowned company in Durban North.

Provide and interpet financial information.  Monitor and interprest cash flows and predict future trends. Analyse every day financial activities and subsequently provide advice and guidance to the GM on future finanical plans The goal is to enable the company’s leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company’s objectives

Duties:

• Advising on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take.
• Maintaining the financial health of the business.
• Using financial reports, interpret financial information to recommend course of action
• Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the business’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
• Develop annual budgets in collaboration with the GM and Financial Controller. Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future plans to taken.
• Develop trends and projections for the businesses’ finances
• Conduct review and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
• Liase with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
• Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements relating to financial control, financial management and accounting
• Ensure implementation and adherence to finance policies, procedures and systems across all teams
• BBBEE compliance

Requirements:

• Five to seven years’ experience in a financial role
• Proven strategic planning experience at management level
• knowledge of finance principles
• knowledge of financial reporting
• proficiency in relevant accounting software
• ability to delegate and hold people accountable
• BCom Accounting or Economics or equivalent
• 5-7 years experience in a financial role
• Proven strategic planning experience at a management level
• Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and the general market
• A solid understanding of financial statisctis and accounting principles
