Stunning position at a stunning agency! We have a really exciting opportunity for an experienced Group Account Director at a growing integrated agency based in Durban. In this role you will be called on to strategically partner with clients; ensuring delivery of the team’s projects.  We’re looking for a natural leader who can inspire, mentor and lead their team from the front. The ideal candidate will be passionate and proactive, able to multitask and possess high levels of attention to detail. The position calls for someone who ideally has a background in FMCG and ad agency experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Build a team which consistently performs at a high standard
• Understanding client challenges and objectives, helping clients refine strategies and pursuing innovative solutions internally
• Overseeing all the team’s projects for the brand portfolios against delivery, strategy and brief, and keeping them on track; resolving any challenges that may arise
• Achieve revenue targets, effectively manage client P&L and financial processes, with timeous and effective reporting to the Managing and Financial Director
• Seek opportunities to encourage new ideas and drive proactive work
• Ensure that senior agency team is updated on client context (relationship temperature, business health, strategy, marketing objectives etc.)

Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be: 

• Tertiary qualification preferably at an industry-relevant recognised institution
• Minimum of two years’ experience working as a Group Account Director / Business Director having supervised staff at a reputable advertising agency
• Experience having worked with FMCG brands
• Experience having worked in a fast paced and highly pressurised environment
• Proven leadership skills
• Accurate financial and budget control ability
• Strong Business acumen
• Strategically-minded, conceptually and creatively engaged
• Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills
• Experience managing conflict and handling complex negotiations
