Honours or Master’s Degree in either Data Science, Statistics, Operations Research or applied mathematics from an accredited institute with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in computer science or working with large separate sets of data; or Honours or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in statistical modeling, data mining, machine learning or optimization; or other analytical qualification if accompanied by minimum 2 years relevant experience
Coding / Programming SQL, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap & Ajax
Exp. statistical modeling tool like R
Optimize /simulat. tools like LINGO, AIMMS, Arena, Simio, etc.
Analyze findings from data, both verbal and written
Combine data from structured and unstructured sources
Strong visualization tools, dashboards and models on ClickView, Tableau, SSAS, PowerPivot similar. Ability to find business opportunities in data, strong commercial acumen required. Ability with AI/Machine learning – create predictive or scenario based models.
Excellent English essen. + able to read / understand Afrikaans
Data models Mine large structured / unstructured data sets for data exploration to find enhance operational efficiency/ interaction;
