Durban – Police are investigating a case of business robbery after a group of armed men robbed two stores at the Westwood Mall in Westville, Durban, on Monday morning.
Seven armed men held two security guards and a cleaner at gunpoint after they forcefully gained entrance to the mall at about 01:30, said Lieutenant Colonel Thulani Zwane.
“They then smashed open the glass doors of two stores inside the mall. They took jewellery, clothing, cellphones and perfumes, before fleeing the scene in their getaway vehicle,” said Zwane.
No arrests had been made yet, he said.
“A case of business robbery is being investigated by Westville SAPS,” Zwane said.
