Afrikaans translators/scriptwriters: Freelance/Contract based. Flexi hours.

We are looking to form a base of Afrikkans language translators dealing with translation and script predominantly of e-learning material. Essentially, we are looking to localise E-learning content into Afrikaans. We also work with script adaptation prior to dubbing and distribution. You will be provided with the English script and will be required to translate the material into Afrikaans and adapt the material to the context.

Requirements

• Excellent command of the English Language with high-level comprehension and grammar skills.
• Excellent command of Afrikaans.
• High level of creative writing skills.
• Understanding of storytelling through the medium of film.
• Passion for film and TV content. Avid watcher and consumer of television.
• Good attention to detail.
• Calm, relaxed and focused demeanour.
• Ability to perform under pressure and changing deadlines.
• Microsoft Office Suite knowledge and competency.
• Ability to work flexible shifts (AM, PM, Weekends).
