Environment:

Our client, an expert in spend management based in Cape Town is looking fora .Net web developer to join their team. The successful incumbent should have an IT degree or diploma, five+ years’ experience in software development with experience in the following technologies: C#, ASP.NET, MVC, HTML/HTML5, CSS3, Ajax, WCF, JavaScript and SQL.

Duties:

• Design and implementation of high quality, scalable web components in a challenging environment.
• Adhere to the full software development cycle including requirements gathering, design, coding, unit testing and code reviews.
• Apply best practices and coding standards.
• Make use of appropriate design patterns and frameworks.
• Maintenance of existing web applications.

Requirements:

• IT degree or diploma.
• Experience with scrum or agile methodologies.
• FIve+ years of experience in software development.
• C#/ASP.NET 3.5+, MVC
• HTML/HTML5, CSS3
• JavaScript/JavaScript frameworks (such as jQuery).
• AJAX
• Web Services, WCF
• Microsoft SQL Server, Entity Framework.
• Visual Studio Team Services, including source control TFS or GIT.
• The following experience would be advantageous:
  • Knowledge or previous experience writing or integrating with accounting and ERP software.
  • Experience with web security concepts and implementation.
  • Experience with highly scalable multithreaded web application development. Specifically, high performance/large scale technologies (Caching, Load Balancing, Profiling, Indexing, etc).
  • A strong interest and experience in implementing design patterns.
  • Data analysis and query experience are extremely valuable. Reporting, dashboards, data mining, AI.
  • A good working knowledge of design patterns.
  • Previous experience working in an agile environment.
