This innovative global software document management solutions company is looking for a head of operations to join their team.
Duties:
- Develop and oversee the governance of all operational controls related to the service desk, hosting operations and the delivery of professional services engagements.
- Manage a team of specialists including technical integration and support, forms/content development and cloud hosting operations. Set key clear objectives, review performance and support team success by proactively dealing with issues and functioning as an ‘impediment remover’.
- Oversee capacity planning and resource allocation for project work.
- Play a key role in the feasibility assessment, structuring and implementation of new value-added content and managed service offerings.
- Report information accurately and facilitate visibility across all key stakeholders.
- Define and manage best practice for Cloud hosting operations, deployment automation and software configuration/release management.
- Coordinate resources both onsite and offshore to achieve round-the-clock customer support.
- Manage project initiatives reporting status to CEO and broader management team.
- Ensure operational issues are properly accounted for in strategic planning.
- Budget holder for the operations centre.
Requirements:
- At least 10 years’ experience in operations management/management consulting.
- Qualification in computer science, engineering or similar relevant field.
- Experience from a software environment would be preferred.
- Very good technical understanding of current leading technologies, suppliers and industry terminology.
- Must be a South African citizen or hold a valid work permit.
