DURBAN BASED POSITION
About the role
We’re looking for a passionate social media and community coordinator to join our growing team in Durban! In this role, you will work cross-functionally to develop and execute programmes focused on aligning all four of our social media and community brands presence reporting to the assistant marketing manager. Your efforts will continue to nurture and build brand recognition and loyalty and heighten our brands’ awareness and growth. You will also work closely with our products and sales teams locally and internationally.
What you’ll do
- Work within the marketing department to develop, execute, and analyse social media and community communications strategies and programmes
- Drive brand recognition, loyalty, and community growth through the creation and dissemination of media content
- Develop and publish written and visual content in line with our various brand marketing strategies
- Spearhead and attend key events, building and nurturing a sense of community with customers and partners
- Expand our brands through thoughtful and exciting content, and ensure social presence is relevant, proactive and responsive
- Drive continuous analysis and improvement by using data to qualitatively and quantitatively measure the value of social media and community efforts and identify and communicate new ideas and outreach to the marketing manager

Requirements
What we are looking for
- Minimum two+ years of marketing experience with a degree in a relevant field, preferably with a background in manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of social media and community strategy, data-driven planning, and PR/marketing relationships; analytical/technical skills a plus
- Excellent media relations skills with strong social media and community relationships in community-driven projects
- Proven ability to understand and execute paid, earned, owned and shared media operations, and link efforts to overall business goals
- Ability to work calmly under pressure, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Extreme attention to detail, the ability to adjust on the fly, problem-solving skills, intellectual maturity, business acumen and a great attitude
- Ability to thrive in multiple teams in a fast-paced growing company
