Job description
We’re seeking a strategic, organised and results-driven email marketing professional who will own and execute email marketing strategy across MasterStart’s offering. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of marketing automation platforms and CRM integrations as well as best practices in email marketing, campaign management & analytics.

Our current offering of online short courses in executive education are built in collaboration with University of Stellenbosch Business School Executive Development. Through this partnership, we support USB-ED in its mandate to provide meaningful learning experiences for Africa’s leaders and give rise to positive change across the African continent.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive the overall email and SMS marketing strategy
- Setup and manage email and sms campaigns
- Work together with the design and content team to build world-class mailers
- Measure the effectiveness and improve the email and SMS strategy based on findings
- Drive optimisation and A/B split test strategies
- Setup and manage triggered and automated sends
- Ensure that campaigns are scheduled, proofed, and sent on time
- Manage the clients contact database and segmentation of lists
Requirements
Job requirements:
- Experience in email marketing management
- Experience in basic HTML
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- A good understanding of CRM systems
- The ability to identify and analyse marketing metrics and create meaningful reports
- The ability to derive meaningful insights from data for further optimisation
- Experience of Google Analytics
- Strong skills using the Microsoft Office suite, with particularly strong Excel skills
- Knowledge of email marketing strategies to drive customer engagement and lifecycle marketing
- Ability to setup and manage triggered and automated sends
- Experience with Klaviyo email marketing platform (advantageous)
