Page Panther is looking for an experienced, dedicated, enthusiastic and talented mid-weight graphic designer/web designer to join our company. This is a full-time position based in Johannesburg. The role involves delivering world-class design to a variety of different clients.

The successful candidate needs to have outstanding design and conceptual abilities, as well as the ability to produce unique and beautiful design concepts for a variety of different formats. It is essential that the candidate is an independent, creative thinker with a passion for design, attention to detail, and must have a thorough understanding of both traditional print and the digital environment. • Understand the clients marketing goals and use these goals to strategically position the client to get the best response from the target audience.
• Take work from concept to final execution within tight deadlines.
• Assist in the presentation of completed ideas to clients/team members.

Requirements

Web design requirements/skills

• HTML/CSS experience would be advantageous to the team
• Solid understanding and experience with WordPress
• Front-end website design
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
• Updating and maintaining existing websites
• Cooperating with previous designs to match the existing look and feel of the website and brand
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends
• A solid understanding of how web applications work, including SEO, security, and best development practices

Graphic design requirements/skills

• Relevant design degree preferred.
• Have an expert understanding of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
• Great eye for composition, imagery and typography
• Creative leadership and conceptualisation of innovative work
• Ensure oversight and adherence to a company’s CI and Brand Guidelines
• Ensure the latest trends in design and marketing are tracked and utilised
• Editing and writing skills are imperative

Other requirements:

• Able to speak English 
• Three-five years of agency experience
• Work under pressure
• Own transport
• Mac proficient
