Our client based in Fort Jackson (East London), is seeking to employ an Information Technology Engineer (EE Position). Please note the following regarding this position: •He/she will be the first point of call for users – must be passionate about IT and have good soft skills for training etc. •He/she will be working the shop floor as well as with the office staff, therefore must understand industrial machinery and PLC comms. •There will be an IT Test for all short listed candidates. •Will be controlling the software between machines and business systems such as scanners and barcode printers in the factory. •Must come from Automotive/Manufacturing industry. •Must have driver’s license and own transport. Matric with formal IT Qualification. Experience 10 Years working experience in IT – 5 of which in IT manufacturing (Automotive advantageous). Fluency in English – German advantageous. Highly computer literate. Sound understanding in: IP Networking, Servers/Virtualisation (AD/VMWare), User devices and printers, Industrial machine integration, RFID (Hardware & Middleware), SQL Server basics (Queries).
