The successful candidate requires a relevant Bachelor’s Degree or higher, 10 years’ experience in a senior management position within ICT in the financial services/retail sector, able to develop operational strategies, have managed outsource providers and an understanding of retail and/or consumer finance, the SDLC and product lifecycle.

Duties:

• Accountable for the overall performance of all spheres of the IT business area and to ensure they are aligned to changing and growing business needs.
• Ensure the integrity of the IT security infrastructure and the stability of the systems environment.
• Govern the technology roadmap and principles to guide future choices that are required with regards to technological developments, innovations and advances in best practices.
• Ensure any new systems are delivered in line with Group governance standards, expectations and needs.
• Manage and oversee outsourced partners and vendors and ensure service levels are met.
• Overall accountability for the compliance and risk management of the areas of responsibility.
• Effective budget management for all areas of accountability.
• Provide thought leadership and best practice to ensure competitive advantage.
• Develop and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to enable the company to meet its strategic objectives.
• Effective integration with BNP group teams and delivery of group requirements.
• Lead direct reports and their teams to ensure optimal performance, engagement and succession.

Requirements:

Qualifications –

• Appropriate Bachelor’s Degree or higher.

Experience/skills –

• 10 years’ senior management experience within an ICT position within financial services/retail environment.
• Experience in developing and operationalising strategies.
• Managing outsourced providers.
• Expert understanding of systems in retail and/or consumer finance.
• Strong understanding of the systems development life cycle and the product life cycle.
