Job description

We are looking for a creative retail Visual Merchandiser to increase sales, get buyer’s attention and to provide an excellent in-store experience.

This person will be responsible for the look and feel at Rage — they will be tasked with implementing seasonal and monthly visual packs for the entire group.

The goal is to use visual merchandising to convert window shoppers into prospects, drive branding and sales objectives and maximise profitability.

Responsibility and Duties

• Define, design and implement a creative visual merchandising strategy
• Create appealing and eye-catching visual displays that lead the customer through the entire store
• Produce window displays, interior displays, floor plans and special promotions displays
• Identify key messages and set a clear image of the end result
• Come up with, revise and present design ideas with assistant merchandisers and staff in stores
• Provide guidance to area managers on in store merchandising
• Act in alignment to the organisation’s culture, products, image and target market
• Monitor costs and work within budget, then compile weekly and monthly reports on findings
• Oversee the production and brief staff on arranging displays
• Change displays to promote new product launches and reflect festive or seasonal themes
• Research lifestyle, demographics and design trends to apply to the Rage customer experience
• Monitor and evaluate the merchandising skills of the area managers on daily basis
• Capturing data and images received from area managers
• Track how existing product lines are selling and decide the next steps, such as drop a line or expand it
• Creating monthly and seasonal merchandising packs for area managers and store to implement
• Provide guidance to area managers on in store merchandising
• Assist VMA coordinator with planning and scheduling of area managers
• Assist with any queries with in the team

Requirements

• Good team work skills
• Advanced Microsoft Office especially Excel
•  Good communication and interpersonal skills
