• Engaging in curriculum development;
• Facilitation of learning;
• Assessment of learning;
• Evaluation of teaching;
• Support of students in their studies;
• Supervision of post-graduate students (where the person has the appropriate qualification to do this);
• Assume leadership responsibilities as they relate to teaching and learning. 

Requirements:

• PhD in Statistical Sciences or Mathematics
• Experience in teaching in one or more of the following disciplinary areas: Mathematical Statistics (at undergraduate and postgraduate levels)
• Multivariate Analysis
• Generalized Linear Models
• Bayesian Statistics
• Financial Statistics
• Stochastic Processes
• Bootstrap
• Classification/Statistical Learning
• Linear Algebra
• Calculus
• Research supervision of Master’s and preferably PhD degrees required
• Track record of research publication
• Track record of administration, management, and/or leadership

• Lecturer: Cost to company approximately: R567,661
• Senior Lecturer: Cost to company approximately: R679,055
• Associate Professor: Cost to company approximately: R802,254
• Professor: Cost to company approximately: R937,650
