Job description
Boomtown is looking for a dynamic video editor and motion graphics designer who can create powerful video content that drives results. The successful candidate would work closely with our creative team to conceptualize, design, and execute the production of video & motion graphics content and other digital features for the different brands we work with.
Job duties and responsibilities
- To work collaboratively with all in order to bring quality work to life through precise, smooth, creative, and timely motion graphics skills.
- Proactively find ways to integrate skill set in marketing and advertising initiatives throughout the agency.
- Work independently on projects while taking the initiative to advise team members on motion graphics’ opportunities.
- Select, edit, incorporate content (Stills, footage, music, graphics, etc.)
- Ensure all produced content is correctly optimised for chosen dissemination (web, social, presentations, broadcast, etc.).
- Track new content trends & technologies to ensure that creative output remains relevant and innovative.

Requirements
- Bachelors’ degree or equivalent (video production, photography, multimedia production, etc.).
- Comprehensive portfolio or showreel showcasing video editing, content creation ability.
- Evidence of relevant technical training in video production, multimedia content creation and editing.
- Ability to operate cameras, audio and video recorders and other production equipment.
- Applicants without a strong video production, editing background will not be considered.
- Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and video editing software (Premier, etc.).
- InDesign, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator a plus.
- Experience and/or knowledge in animation/motion graphics a plus.
- Ability to synthesise and present concepts and data for a general audience using multiple forms of media.
- Experience in short-form storytelling through various editorial techniques including cuts, transitions, timing, the effective use of sound and visuals to communicate.
- Demonstrated project and time management skills. Experience guiding video and multimedia projects from conception through completion.
- Understand basics of social and digital media advertising.
- Understand the importance of tracking video metrics.
- Embraces and has a passion for technology.
