An exciting opportunity is available within CCL Labels, a world leader in the packaging and label solutions market.

The Technical Services Manager will provide technical support for gravure label production.

Responsibilities include coordinating all the technical requirements or activities related to the preparation for gravure label production in a fast paced, deadline driven manufacturing environment.

Duties include:

Checking label drawings and files to assess production feasibility – colour sequence, print technique, tooling requirements et al
Dealing with technical requests
Creating drawings for tests in AUTOCAD/Illustrator
Working with the ERP system
Checking availability of cylinders, materials, capacity
Dealing with tooling suppliers
Maintaining technical documents
Maintaining technical information database
Dealing with graphic agencies
Identifying new tooling suppliers

MUST COME FROM THE LABEL INDUSTRY

Requirements

Matric
Relevant printing qualification (print technology, media technician, packaging)

Gravure label printing background ideal/Flexo label manufacturing – ESSENTIAL

Strong technical skills including: IT (servers, software and hardware), good working knowledge of label drawings and artwork, repro knowledge, colour knowledge, tooling requirements, die and cylinder knowledge, ability to liaise with tooling and repro agencies

AutoCAD experience
Adobe CS

Own transport
Valid license
