Hr Generalist – East London
Total headcount: 783 weekly paid staff
Includes Labour Broker Headcount: 319 weekly paid staff
Excludes Monthly paid staff: 46
Labour Relations:
– Ensure correct procedures are followed
– Ensure disciplinary charges are correct
– Attend disciplinary, incapacity and grievance hearings
– Compile hearing minutes
– Ensure that all hearings that could lead to dismissal are recorded and subsequently transcribed
– Provide Labour Relations advice
– Prepare cases for Conciliation and Arbitration at CCMA
– Representation of the Company at Conciliations and Arbitrations
– Attend all Employee Representatives meetings
– Sign off and file warning forms and incapacity documentation
Training and Development:
– Attend all Training Committee meetings within your constituencies
– Ensure that training attendances within your constituencies are of an acceptable standard
– Ensure that all TNAs for your constituencies are submitted on time to the Training Manager
Administration:
– Ensure all Central Office reports are submitted timeously
– Resolve queries i.e. medical, provident
– Verified Incapacity procedures are compiled with
– Employment Equity report
– Ensure payroll has received the correct information to capture
– Sign-off of the monthly payroll
Recruitment:
– Compile recruitment advertisements
– Provide specification to recruitment agency
– Coordinate and attend interviews
– Coordinate Psychometric Testing
– Issue contract of employment
– Issue regret letters
– Arrange induction
Performance Management:
– Compile recruitment advertisements
– Provide guidance on the Performance Management procedure (TBA)
– Issue Performance Management Documentation
– Monitor receipt of Performance Management documentation
– Issue TNAs to Training Manager
– Provide Performance Management and ROI training
Reporting to:
– HR Manager (on-site)
Supervising:
– 2 x Payroll Clerks (with HR Manager)
