Sales Engineer (4 Year Internship)
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and provide quotations
- Handover technical information to the Design team
- Draw and develop concept drawings e.g. Plant Layouts, Process and Instrument diagrams as part of sales proposals and in assistance to project design
- Marketing and market development – identifying new clients and industries, assisting with marketing related activities / trade shows / events
- Co-ordinating sales projects
- Creating sales data base for costing (Estimating tools)
- Support the procurement and planning function through the preparation and submission of project schedules
- Installation – Assisting with projects, as well as project timelines / tracking
Pre-requisites:
- Work with the Design and Sales team to interpret customer requirements and deliver solutions with the end-goal of sales in mind
- Demonstrate an understanding of what the customer will need in terms of ongoing service and managing expectations on the customer and sales side
- A critical thinker who can suggest improvements that might lead to cost saving and / or other client benefits
- Sales Environment experience would be advantageous
- Matric certificate (Maths core / Maths HG)
- Minimum National Diploma (S4) in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
- Strong MS Office Skills
- Attention to detail
- Valid drivers licence
- Own transport
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
