Job description
VOLT Digital Solutions has an exciting opportunity for an Advertising Sales Manager to be based in Johannesburg. The successful incumbent will be responsible for managing sales teams as well as introducing and selling Digital Media platforms, expanding marketing partnerships, developing new business relationships and increasing of overall revenue.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Identifying, strategizing and penetrating influential contacts within the digital agency landscape.
- Manage online forecasting (including budget, dates, probability to close and inventory estimates) and campaign performance.
- Perform Customer Services Functions.
- Perform Administrative functions (reports, proposals).
- Develop Sales Plans and Go to Market Strategy
- Drive the implementation of sales strategy approved by Senior Management
- Indentify solutions/business cases and package deals
- Work with account executive team in leveraging relationships
- Development and implementation of Sales Process
- Through the sales team, build a sales pipeline and quarterly goals to ensure strong near, medium and long term opportunities for new business
- Ensure sales team optimises the use of resources and manage appropriate budgets
- Salaries forecast, sales activity, pipeline management, sales reporting
- Account planning, sales action planning
- Marketing/Sales budget tracking/planning
- Ensure compliance with all standard processes and policies
- Drive wider business performance through new sales development and driving cross sales activities
- Provide an effective bridge, maintaining excellent communication and relationships to all the support departments of sales
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have 3 years experience in managing and leading a team of sales staff.
- Minimum of 5 years sales experience within the media environment.
- Must have 3 years digital media sales experience with advance knowledge of online and advanced Advertising space including display, video and various targeting solutions.
- Must be familiar and knowledgeable with online media-buying terminology, online/Interactive analytics and ad-serving technology.
- Must have strong financial knowledge and experience in budget setting, forecasting, and revenue concepts.
- Must have extensive experience in preparing and presenting PowerPoint presentations.
- Must have strong administrative skills in report writing and drawing of proposals.
- Must have a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Fully computer literate on Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with own vehicle.
- Strong relationship building and client service background.
- Ability to work in a fast pace, creative environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Must have strong leadership, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Must be innovative and creative.
- Must be willing to travel.
