Job description
Community Media Trust (CMT) is a not-for-profit organisation that has produced HIV/AIDS and related public health education material and implemented community level programmes since 1998.
CMT seeks to employ a suitably qualified/experienced Project Coordinator to setup, oversee and manage a team implementing HIV prevention programmes at community level throughout the district. Salary commensurate with experience.
This post requires the ability and willingness to work flexi-hours on a 40 hour week. Flexi hours will include early morning, evening and weekend work in order to fulfil the project goals.
Key duties and responsibilities (may include but are not limited to)
- Engage with senior CMT structures for implementation and planning.
- Implement the mobilisation for and coordination of evidence based HIV Prevention programmes at community level.
- To oversee and manage the staff based at the CMT Rustenburg Office.
- To network with relevant partner organisations and district / sub-district Health and Education in Rustenburg in the North West and to co-ordinate all project activities.
- To oversee the CMT activities in Rustenburg.
- To liaise with relevant stakeholders for the furtherance of the aims of the Outreach Programme at community level.

Requirements
- Relevant Degree (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience
- Experience working in an HIV setting/organization a plus
- Proven skills in management, supervision, leadership and networking, with at least 3-5 years supervisory experience.
- Fluency in English and Setswana required
- Knowledge of HIV/AIDS, TB and other related health issues required
- Valid code 8 driver’s license
- Advanced level computer skills (MS Office)
