A manufacturing concern is seeking an Automation Technician who will be responsible for supporting production teams in their delivery of products and services by providing electrical support and assuming responsibility for the maintenance, repair of all electronic, electrical and computer-based equipment including backups.

Job requirements:

• Grade 12
• Strong PLC/Programming Source Coding (Visual Basics)
• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or Mechatronics
• Drives and Control Systems

Experience required:

• Experience in an automated industrial environment
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• 3 years in an Automation environment
• Experience in Engineering Best Practices

Knowledge requireds:

• PLC (Preferrably Allen Bradley)
• Server exposure to Fanuc
• Minor project management
• Electronic drawing knowledge
• Automation Control Systems
• Technical procedures
