An exciting career opportunity exists in the Kouga area at a FET College for an English, maths and life orientation teacher for grade 10-12 within a FET education and training environment. Requirements:

• An appropriate and recognised four-year teaching degree/diploma from an accredited tertiary institution
• SACE registration essential
• A minimum of three years’ experience in teaching Mathematics and English to FET students (preferably)
• Excellent written and spoken English and Afrikaans language ability
• Familiarity with modern teaching practices, including personalised learning, flipped classroom techniques, differentiated learning, the use of computer technology for research and effective use of group-work teaching strategies
• Computer literacy: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Own reliable transport with a valid driver’s license
• Clear credentials and references

• Be qualified to assume responsibility for the delivery of an enriched FET curriculum
• Successfully deliver project-based education with an emphasis on building practical skills that will be useful in a professional and business career
• Successfully encourage the use of critical thinking skills
• Be committed to ensuring that students emotional and socials skills are developed and enhanced, in addition to their academic education
• Be willing to contribute to the extra-curricular activities program
