Our client a leading FMCG company is hiring a GM in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate must have exp in the FMCG manufacturing industry.

Minimum eight years’ experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment

Previous experience working with Food Safety programs would be hugely advantageous

A business management or financial management degree is essential

The position entails:

• Management of staff
• Growing the business from strength to strength
• Development of strategy
• Identifies opportunities for returns/margin improvement, incl. improved cashflow management, strategic supplier management etc.
• Minimum five years of experience in successfully managing or fulfilling a similar role
• Qualifications are essential
• Manage budgets
• Able to do presentations and work at boardroom level
• To run the business in a way that creates long term value by ensuring client retention
• To effectively manage resources for optimum output
• Monitors food safety and occupation safety at a high level, and works with food safety manager to drive ongoing compliance
