The Health and Safety Officer must be computer literate, Fluent in English and must have the following minimum qualifications, training and experience: 1. At least 5 years’ experience as a Health and Safety Officer on construction projects. 2. SAMTRAC or equivalent training course as a minimum qualification. 3. Experience and appropriate training with regards to implementing and maintaining a health and safety management system compliant with the national legislation or an international standard. 4. Experience and appropriate training with regards to construction related hazard identification and risk management processes. 5. Competence, experience and relevant training with regards to incident investigation procedures and causation analysis. 6. Health and Safety auditing experience and training. 7. Valid Level 1 First Aid certificate. 8. Fire prevention and protection training. 9. Valid driver’s license (Light motor vehicle) 10.
