Job Purpose:

Lecturing and academic delivery to ensure students are guided and supported in their learning to achieve module outcomes. Classes take place in the evenings.
Education:

Ideal: Honours degree in Marketing Management/Brand Management/ Strategic Marketing/ – with Management in 1st to 3rd year of undergrad qualification, and financial management or accounting in 1st to 3rd year of undergrad qualification.

Alternatively: Honours degree in Financial Management/Economics with Brand Management or Marketing Management in 1st – 3rd Year of undergrad degree.

Work Experience:

• Industry experience in Marketing Management, Marketing Research, Brand Evaluation and Marketing Strategy.
• Lecturing experience in financial management or risk management and can apply their lecturing to a marketing or brand management environment.
• Work experience as a financial manager or risk manager (within a marketing organisation preferred).
• Work experience doing brand equity evaluation (qualitative and qualitative metrics).

Requirements

Key Performance Area:

• Deliver the module in such a manner as to achieve the stated subject outcomes within the assigned contact hours.
• The assessment of student work within the stipulated marking and moderation cycle and provide constructive feedback to students and reporting any students concerns to the Student Relations Co-ordinator.
• Class preparation and development of lesson plans in a constructivist learning approach.
• Proactively participates in Vega events, such as Open Days, Graduation and others.
• Arrange for the appropriate guest lecturer to support application to the world of work.
• Operate in line with The Independent Institute of Education’s (The IIE) policies.
