We are looking for a young, enthusiastic DTP operator/designer to join our Joburg team. 

You must be able to think on your feet and juggle multiple projects at once. Having a keen eye for detail goes without saying. Your typographic and layout skills need to be the next level and you’ll need to possess a thorough understanding of design principles. If this sounds like you – we’d love to meet up!

Key responsibilities

You will be a key support to the design team assisting them in creating and delivering quality work.

You will be required to:

• Create designs, concepts and layouts based on a knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts
• Develop graphics, layouts and suggest improvements for marketing collateral (newsletters, brochures, emailers, flyers, invitations, social media artwork, PPT presentations, interactive PDFs and forms) whilst adhering to strict brand guidelines. 
• Understand each brand completely, in order to create brand-aligned collateral
• Update and amend existing artwork
• In-situ mock-ups and product proofs for client sign off
• Check and ensure accuracy of artwork
• Prepare artwork for print or digital outputs, ensuring correct format and size
• Ability to work under pressure, balance several deadlines and deliver jobs on time correctly
• Track time on Magnetic 
• Participate in brainstorms and conceptualising ideas
• Develop advanced skills in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
• Develop skills in PPT and Word

Key requirements 

• A team player, able to take direction and collaborate
• Able to listen and pose questions when discussing briefs
• Keen to learn and willing to upskill
• Experience in Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and PPT
• An exceptional eye for layout and typography
• Knowledge of the production and print process
• Knowledge of various digital outputs
• Graphic design diploma or relevant qualification

• 3D Rendering/CAD
• Basic photography 
• Photo retouching and editing
• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
