Junior Service Technician – PE

Our client is looking for a Junior Field Service Engineer for Laboratory Instrumentation based in PE.

Requirements/Responsibilities:

• National technical diploma or a BTech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or alternatively an N6
• Function as full technical support by handling all technical queries from customers as well as calls pertaining to the progress on repairs and availability of stock
• Visit customers’ sites and carry out corrective and preventative maintenance
• Carry out fault finding effectively and communicate with the customer as to the problems, recommending the best solutions
• Carry out installations as per company procedures and in accordance with the order specifications
• Calibration and alignment of equipment as per the factory specifications
• Good knowledge of electronics and electricity
• Safety understanding with 3 phase 400 Volt AC electricity
• Knowledge of Low voltage (4-24) for the electronics that controls equipment
• Be able to read a circuit diagram and have good computer skills
• Skills in working with application software
• Have the following applications experience:
  • Universal testing (tension and compression)
  • Heat analysis
  • Some hardness
  • Particle size analysis
  • Weathering
  • Particle counting

Please note this position will allow for the opportunity to grow in sales, so sales experience is an advantage.
