KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

- Teaching at both undergraduate and post graduate level
- Conduct research, attend academic conferences and publish to improve the research profile of the faculty
- At Lecturer – the candidate will be expected to be registered or completing PhD within 2 years of assuming the duties
- At Senior Lecturer- The candidate will be expected to show a proven record of research publications in accredited journal houses
- At Senior Lecturer- To demonstrate a record of supervision at post graduate level
- Collaborative team member towards Sociology curriculum revitalization

REQUIREMENTS

- Lecturer -A Masters qualification in Sociology
- Lecturer- Proof of registration for a PhD in Sociology with evidence of good progress towards submission in areas of Urban Sociology, Economic Sociology and Research Methods
- Lecturer- conduct research independently
- Senior Lecturer – PhD in Sociology with specialisation in Urban Sociology, Economic Sociology, Research Methods (Quantitative and Qualitative Approaches)
- Undergraduate teaching experience
- Senior Lecturer- advanced research and supervision experience
- Senior Lecturer- Proven research publication record in accredited scholarly journals
