1. Readiness is not absolute, but relative

2. Although work had been done, absence of emergency response systems has made it difficult to measure state of readiness

3. Tracking and verification of PPE’s pointed to a chequered state of readiness across the board

4. Learner PPE’s missing

5. Overarching opinion: highly unlikely that majority of schools nationally would be ready to open
