Job description

We’re looking for a motion graphic designer to join our production team in Cape Town. We are a full-service online learning partner, working with universities and brands all over the world! We create all sorts of short motion graphic videos for our clients, in different creative styles. Our ideal candidate should enjoy working as part of a small team, being able to create videos from conception through to the final render, and have a great eye for detail. You’ll need to demonstrate your skills in motion design and excellent communication as we’re a global company in a fast-paced environment.

As a motion designer, you are responsible for animating and delivering videos to the brief. You’ll work directly with our creative leads and learning designers to ensure the design and execution of your videos to fulfill the client’s needs, as well as being an excellent learning experience. Ideally, you will be skilled in storyboarding and graphic design but we have a trusty design team to help out.

Requirements

• Two+ industry experience
• Superb creativity and 2D animation skills
• Experience in all aspects of animated video creation
• Self-directed but an excellent team player
• Design and storyboarding skills are preferred 
• Online education experience is a bonus
• Adobe CC, especially After Effects
• Character rigging is not essential
• Table tennis skills or being a movie geek helps but is not essential
• A sense of humour definitely is essential
