Purchasing And Receiving Clerk
A concern is seeking to employ a Purchasing & Receiving Clerk within the Imports / Exports Department to start immediately.
Open position : Purchasing and Receiving Clerk
Location : Port Elizabeth
Salary : Market related
Type : Permanent position
Working hours: Monday to Thursday – 08:00 to 17:00 and Friday – 08:00 to 16:00 (No weekend work, unless work volume requires it)
Job requirements :
– Experience in purchasing
– Stock / warehousing experience advantageous
– Some knowledge of imports / exports will be advantageous
– Pc literate – good skills in excel & email (Training will be provided on the Accounting System Omni)
– Understanding of accounting concepts (debits & credits)
– Excellent communicator
– Fast learner
– Work under extreme pressure
– Work without supervision
– Be a team player
– Mature person
Duties :
– Place orders with foreign suppliers
– Liaise with suppliers
– Booking in of stock once received
– Based on the quantity going to each branch, invoice the various branches
– Candidate will not be dealing with imports and exports directly
