Job description
Our client is looking for a Community Manager Intern to join their team, to work across a range of brands from alcohol to jewellery. If you are a tech-savvy professional, with a sound knowledge of social media, we’d love to meet you (over Teams, of course).
Our ideal candidate needs to have excellent verbal and written communication skills and is able to think of their feet. We’re looking for someone with great people skills, who is passionate about building communities online, and has the ability to moderate online conversations with these communities. Ultimately, you should be able to act as the face and voice of the brands and manage all community communications.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the implementation of social media and communication campaigns to align with marketing strategies
- Respond to comments and customer queries in a timely manner across platforms
- Monitor and report on feedback and online reviews
- Coordinate with Marketing, Design, PR and Communications teams to ensure brand
consistency and authenticity - Bring your unique view on the community to the table when developing content with the
team - Build relationships with customers, potential customers and Influencers
- Stay up-to-date with digital technology and social media trends
Requirements
- Prospects must hold a NQF level 5 diploma or degree in a relevant business or creative field
- Proven work experience as a community manager for brands
- Experience launching community initiatives (e.g. building an online forum, launching an ambassador program, creating an event series and writing an email newsletter)
- Ability to identify and track relevant community metrics
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Ability to interpret online customer engagement metrics
- Knowledge of online marketing and marketing channels
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
