AFRIKAANS SPEAKING WAREHOUSE MANAGER ( STEEL), BLOEMFONTEIN, R20 000 + BENEFITS
- Working Hours: 07:30 – 17:00 Mondays to Fridays and every alternative Saturday from 08:00 – 13:00 in accordance with a roster system
- Industry experience will be advantageous but needs to have sound knowledge and experience of Warehousing functions – Dispatch, Receiving, Stock Control, Stock Takes, Supervising and daily running functions of a Warehouse
- Or from Warehousing / Distribution industry / background – STEEL/ IRRIGATION/ HARDWARE/ AGRICULTURAL ENVIRONMENT

- OVERSEEING RECEIPT, STORAGE, VALUE ADDING SERVICES

- ENSURE WAREHOUSE PROCESSES ARE RUNNING SMOOTHLY
Responsibilities
- Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
- Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
- Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
- Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
- Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
- Prepare annual budget
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
- Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
- Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
- Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc.)
- Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
- Processing orders and planning the dispatching of products
- Monitoring space and tracking stock levels
- Setting aside storage areas for new stock
Health and Safety duties:
- Review the effectiveness of health and safety measures
- Identify potential hazards and major
- Incidents at the workplace
- Assist his employer in establishing the cause
- Of incidents at workplace
- Investigate employees’ complaints regarding health and safety at the workplace
- Make representations regarding the above to the employer, health and safety committee and the inspector
- Make representations to the employer in general with regard to health and safety in the workplace
- Inspect the workplace at agreed intervals, the representative must also give reasonable notice of his intention to do so, as employees may wish to present
- Participate with, and accompany inspectors (Dep. of Labour) during their inspections
