Environment:

A Johannesburg technology company who develops hardware and software, are looking for an Android software engineer to join the team. Candidates must have five years’ experience with Android, Java, Retrofit, Fabric and MVP.

Duties:

• Contribute to the design and implementation of our suite of Android applications.
• You will have influence over the product and technology roadmap.

Requirements:

• Five years or more of software development experience, three of which must be in the Android, Java world.
• Experience with technologies we utilise such as Retrofit, Fabric and MVP and other patterns.
• Practical knowledge of app life cycles and an ability to automate and instrument the development process.
• They are looking for someone with a good cultural fit who aspires to achieve the same outcomes as us.
• A technically sound approach is a must, but so is an open-minded willingness to innovate, synthesise and create.
• Autonomous, self-driven people who are capable of surprising and delighting customers and colleagues with blow-away implementations, i.e. they get the right things done and do so with aplomb.
• The role requires a mature engineer who is knowledgeable in the craft of software development and takes the utmost pride in their work.
• You will be an expert in the Android programming environment and passionate about staying at the cutting edge of the Android world.
