Behavioural competency

• Thorough knowledge of food service management
• Sound knowledge of management and food services/catering and practices
• Knowledge of industrial food services/catering practices
• A good understanding of hygiene and safety within the food service sector
• Excellent interpersonal skills 

Duties include the following, but not limited to:

• Staff and operations management
• Quality control
• Customer service
• Communicate with suppliers
• Training of staff
• Orders and requisitions
• Staff leave/absenteeism
• Monitoring food costs and stock
• Weekly stock audit and reporting
• Administration of tender processes
• Budgeting 

Requirements:

• Hospitality management diploma/degree
• Four years relevant experience
• Three years’ experience working with staff who are at management level
• Two years’ experience supervising staff
• Approved practical training – with hands-on practical industrial cooking experience, physical stock-take and on the job training of catering staff
• Previous experience to having worked with up to date Food Services practices with high volume food production at multiple sites
• Valid driver’s licence 

Salary: R362,292
